This is my and my roommates favorite place to get food. For both of us to order it normally comes out to only $14 and that's with delivery! It tastes amazing, the people that work there are always nice, and it's even healthy. We order out probably more often than we should but when we don't want to cook (which is most of the time) it's a great tasting, cheap, and easy option!

Excellent food, friendly staff, great location. What more can I say about this place? It's amazing! You have to go check it out.

I really like the pita pit. I would be happy if the opened one up by my house. Decent size pita sandwiches with lots of selections and toppings. This place had a decent amount of seating and even though it was busy they made the pita pretty quickly. Better than basic subway or Quiznos.

Great food concept. Broad menu. I enjoy asking the employees to make me a pita how they would make one for themselves. They usually turn out great, unfortunately the recipes are hard to reproduce if the employee isn't there.

My husband and I ate here during a trip to visit family. We have eaten at other locations before and never had any issues. However, that is not the case this time. We had just returned home after a long drive when my husband starting feeling AWFUL. He insisted that it was the lamb gyro he ordered. I was skeptical until I realized that was all he had eaten and was feeling perfectly normal prior to lunch. Long story short he just spent the last 10 minutes vomiting. I called Pita Pit to let them know of this and wasn't even given an apology. Steven answered the phone and was very short and said "oh, ya we'll check on that (unconvincingly)" but only after I said it would be a good idea to check on the meat. You would think after the restaurant you ate at made you violently ill they could at least offer a sincere apology.

Freshly made food! The associates were very friendly and personable. The Prime Rib pita was great! The location is central to everything so for a quick healthy bite to eat this is the place! We don't have these back in Denver but wish we did!

Clean and good food! The original Pita Pit in Coeur d'alene, Idaho is a must stop! We grab a bit to eat here everytime we are in town and it is consistently clean and top notch food with very professional and friendly service!

This is a great Pita Pit. When you walk in the place was clean and busy (always a good sign). I ordered my Pita and went over to get it rolled. Right away the quality of vegetables is obvious. No brown lettuce and no ice cream scoop tuna, they made it up right there with Taziki Sauce, with all the veggies it was great. I learned about Pita Pit in college, back then it was post bar food (I think most stay open late night) but as I get older the healthy grab and go is most appealing. I will be back.

The Good: Being able to select anything you want and putting it into a Pita. The Bad: The tables weren't super clean when I went in there The whatever: Normally, I would care that the place I eat has the word "PIT" in it, but this place pulls it off. Props.

Worst ever! So unsanitary! Huge trash pile in middle of the kitchen at the dinner hour. The staff was in need of adult supervision! Very inconsistent portions and staff under trained. Terrible, was once a regular Now I will never return. I posted pictures as proof.

I love the idea of PIta Pit. You order what you would like in the pizza, ie what type of meat or other fillings, then they let you customize your pita with a selection of veggies, cheeses and sauces. That being said, I would not recommend the breakfast pitas. They sound good, they look great, and they are cold and not flavorful inside. It made me sad, but I was starving. The lunch/dinner items are MUCH better. They have the fun Coke machines where you can pick your favorite soda with multiple flavor options. Hello cherry flavored Pibb! For this location, why are all of the outside seating tables literally in front of the entrance? It made it really awkward for us to get in and out trying to wade through the families trying to enjoy their lunch in the sun.

I've been a few pita pits in the past but they aren't in my area so I don't go often. I happened to stop in as this was one of the few things serving non breakfast food in the early morning. I must admit I was pleasantly suprised. Quite a few veg options on the menu. The blonde girl behind the counter was super helpful and did a great job. I breifly looked around for a comment card, but couldn't find one. She explained how the pita making process worked since it's been so long since our last visit. I was astonished by the possibilities of added toppings and sauces that could be added to my pita. There were things like artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, hummus, roasted red peppers, way better than a silly subway sandwhich. Even though I chose one of the standard ones off the menu I could still customize it anyway I liked. I admit this did take longer than some quick stop meals, but that is because she had to cook everything. I had no idea my falafel would be cooked on a grill. She even offered to use seperate utensils since I am a vegetarain. Pitas came out great, so carefully folded, not even a drop was spilled. I left vowing to come back the next day and have another one but was not successful. I think I might write pita pit and demand they open some closer to my home. Glad I found this, will be on the lookout for it in all distant cities.

So Yummy!!! It is set up like a Subway where you can pick a pre-designed pita, embellish a pre-designed pita, or customize your very own! Also like Subway u can get a combo meal with a drink and either chips or cookie. Delish!!!

I have been coming to this Pita Pit for years. I even came in every day when I worked downtown. It was great! Today I came in and got horrible service. Also, just like in the pictures above, the floors were piled up with garbage and the line was messy. I was sorely disappointed in the service and cleanliness of this store. The Corporate Offices are across the street. This kind of thing should NEVER happen. I love Pita Pit, but I probably will not return to the Sherman location.

The finished product rolls out fast and is fun for the customers because it's so participatory and more importantly, easy on the worn-out Velcro of their pocketbooks. It was an especially hot summer when the original store on Sherman Avenue opened, and the place was an instant hit, offering something refreshingly different from the heavy burger and fries routine. They were also, and still are, the only place for the downtown bar crowd to stumble into after three, uh five Vodka-Crans, okay six, and create a huge, unnecessary drama, then sober up in tears over a stuffed, nutritious pita. Don't risk driving drunk all the way to Denny's when the Pita Pit is open until 3 a.m. on weekends and midnight the rest of the week, and is located conveniently close to an especially comfortable park bench where you'll pass out waiting for your Citylink bus home and get woken up hours later by the wet, curious tongue of a poodle on the leash of a sunrise tourist en route to the nearest coffee shop. My teen daughter saw the sign first as we were driving through town looking for a place to eat. She had been to one in Ashland and just "had to take us there!" I'm glad she did. Our family doesn't do drive-thrus or fried food, so we were very happy to find a made to order sandwich spot. There are few places that can stand the test of my husbands gastronomical dilemmas. The Pita Pit passed with flying colors! We don't always find places that allows him to custom order his very precarious liking; no cheese, no mayo, extra avocado and hummus to boot! Wow. I didn't even have to hear one iota of complaint the rest of the day about our lunch stop. Thank you, Pita Pit! We are now looking for others around the Portland area.

Pita Pit is my Pit Stop. It's my favorite fast food. I crave the Gyro with tomatoes, feta, cucumber, olives and tazeki. The employees aren't the best as they are slow to move. I don't mind laid back, but they act like I'm disturbing them with my order. The wheat pitas are occassionally a little dry. So I usually ask how they are that day before ordering. However, I'll put up with it for the Gyro. ****There are currently 168 Pita Pit locations in 37 states, with another 50+ in the works at review time. The USA headquarters are in Cda.

I didn't want to spend alot on lunch but after reading the reviews and checking the place out I ended up ordering a falafel pita- salad version. I thought it would come with a pita on the side but no. The falafel was grilled and not fried and sat on a heap of a nice assortment of veggies. The name is a turn-off but the food good value.

Great franchise idea. They should have more of these around.

Healthiest food in Downtown CDA. I grab lunch here often and love it. The Local is my favorite. It tastes like a hot wing in a wrap. Must Try!

Really good food. It's quick and good for vegetarians and meat-lovers alike!

Yummy. I'm only sorry we found this place on the last day of our trip. It was fresh and good. You can put whatever you want in the pita, customize it however you'd like and then GRUB away. They also had a great looking breakfast pita menu. I'll be trying that my next time in Coeur D Alene. Good Times, Good Food. The staff was fun and helpful, they also packed my philly pita FULL. Said they are open till 3 am on weekends, as to attract the "drunks with munchies" mmmm...beer.
